Minutes for meeting held on Nov. 12-2011

Meeting called to order at: 1:10 PM


The meeting opened with Introduction of members and one guest.


Vice President Janiece Robinson asked everyone to be sure they signed in and received their ticket because the Board had decided to start having a door prize in hopes of increasing attendance and participation of the members at our meetings.


Minutes of the Sept. meeting were read. Nick Kerpchar made the motion to approve the minutes as read seconded by Les Armstrong and the motion passed.


Janiece Robinson read the Treasurers report. Motion made by Rosemary Blair to accept the Treasurers report seconded by Randy Hutchison and motion passed.


At this time John Kaminski of the Lander BLM Field Office arrived to do a presentation of the four options that the BLM is proposing for the management of the BLM Lands in Wyoming. A question and answer period followed his presentation.


Nick Kerpchar, our Membership Coordinator gave his report. We are only receiving 10% response on the Confirmation Cards. Should we continue with the cards as the postage is beginning to become expensive? No action was taken.


Vice President Janiece Robinson opened the bids on the 3” dredge.
Only two bids were received.
One bid on the 3” dredge and one bid on the Bazooka which was mistakenly included on the web page.
After some discussion Les Armstrong made a motion to accept both bids and sell the Bazooka as well. Motion was seconded by Randy Hutchison and the motion passed with one dissenting vote.


Keith Blair bid $157. on the 3” dredge.
Bruce Gress bid $5. on the Bazooka.


Randy Hutchison inquired about making a donation to the Wounded Warriors or some other worthwhile organization.

Les Armstrong made a motion to give the PLP (Public Lands for the People) a $500. donation. Seconded by Rosemary Blair and the motion passed.


Randy Hutchison made a motion for the Board of Directors to bring the account down to what it needs to be for the purpose of a tax threshold (determined by CPA) by donating to a few local organizations. Seconded by Keith Blair and the motion passed.


Drawing for the Door Prize was won by Eugene Raymond.


Dave Locker won the 50-50 raffle.


The next meeting will be Jan. 14, 2012 at the Church of Christ at #39 Gas Hills Rd, Riverton, Wy.
Pot Luck lunch at 12:00 noon. Bring a covered dish. Meeting at 1:00


With the hour getting late and everyone wanting to go home, the meeting was adjourned at 3:50 without doing the usual raffle.
